Reliability of bearing capacity for large eccentric compression column strengthened with CFRP
At present, a large number of building structures in my country have entered the aging period, and more and more attention has been paid to the reinforcement of buildings. Carbon fiber composite materials(CFRP) are gradually used in the reinforcement and repair of various structures due to their strength and corrosion resistance. One of the main applications is the overall winding of reinforced concrete columns with carbon fiber reinforced wrap to enhance its strength and ductility.
In actual engineering, there is basically no reinforced concrete column that only bears axial pressure. The reinforced concrete eccentric compression column is the main load-bearing member, and its destruction will have a significant impact on the safety of the entire structure.

Reliability of bearing capacity for large eccentric compression column strengthened with CFRP
(1) Before and after reinforcement, the compression and bending reliability indexes of large eccentric compression columns decrease with the increase of initial eccentricity and load effect ratio. The decreasing trend gradually slows down, and the reliability of compression is less affected by the initial eccentricity.
(2) Considering the influence of column compression and bending at the same time, the buckling reliability index b of the large eccentric compression column is less than b1, b2, and decreases with the increase of the initial eccentricity and the load effect ratio.
(3) After being reinforced with a layer of carbon fiber cloth, the rusted large eccentric compression column's reliability index of compressive bearing capacity is increased by 4.7%~105% compared with that before reinforcement, and the reliability index of flexural bearing capacity is increased by 11.2. %~ 39.7%, the reliability index of compressive and bending bearing capacity is increased by 10.8% to 39.5%.
