New Technology Of Carbon Fiber Mesh Reinforcement
The new carbon fiber mesh reinforcement technology is to sandwich the carbon fiber mesh on the surface of the existing building's masonry wall structure by layering plaster or spraying a layer of high ductility mortar. The technology of forming a mortar layer with strong ductility and certain compressive capacity to enhance the ductility and compressive capacity of the wall. During construction, the thickness of the high ductility mortar for the bottom layer and the surface layer is generally 5mm, and the spacing of each carbon fiber wire of the grid cloth needs to be determined according to the design calculation.
Compared with the carbon fiber cloth reinforcement technology, it avoids the waste of materials at the intersection of the original 150~200mm wide carbon fiber cloth and eliminates the special adhesive required for carbon fiber cloth reinforcement, which is environmentally friendly and reduces material costs.

(1) Construction angle. The construction process includes wall picking, spraying bottom mortar, hanging carbon fiber mesh cloth, and spraying surface mortar by spraying machine. The construction operation is simple, and the quality stability is easy to guarantee. The high ductility mortar used with carbon fiber mesh cloth has a small amount of fiber content, is light and soft, and is easy to mix.
(2) Mechanical properties. Compared with carbon fiber cloth reinforcement, the carbon fiber mesh cloth is embedded between the mortar layers and is closely integrated with the wall. There is sufficient binding and anchoring force between the carbon fiber mesh and the mortar. During an earthquake, the carbon fiber mesh cloth and sprayed mortar can work together. Carbon fiber mesh cloth can also be flexibly overlapped, and mesh cloth with different properties or mesh sizes can be used according to the stress conditions of different parts of the wall to achieve the purpose of reasonable stress and material saving.
(3) Scope of application. The carbon fiber mesh cloth is embedded with mortar, which is suitable for building reinforcement under various working conditions such as corrosion and humidity.
